Services / Intune and Autopilot
Intune and Autopilot.
Devices without manual work.
Setting up and managing Windows and macOS devices with Microsoft Intune: from zero-touch rollout with Autopilot and Apple Business Manager to compliance, security baselines and app distribution.
01
What I set up
A device environment in which new devices configure themselves, settings are managed centrally and you can see which devices meet your requirements.
Including
- Intune enrolment and Autopilot profiles for Windows
- Apple Business Manager (ABM/DEP) for the Mac fleet
- Configuration profiles, compliance and security baselines
- App packaging and distribution through Company Portal
- Windows 11 rollout and lifecycle management
- Shared devices in classrooms and study areas
02
How I approach it
I start with the current situation: how are devices rolled out today, which settings apply and where is the manual work? Then I build the environment step by step, test with a pilot group and only then roll out widely.
Steps
- Inventory of devices, policies and applications
- Pilot with a small group of users
- Phased rollout with a check at every step
- Documentation of profiles, policies and procedures

From practice
For a European e-learning organisation with around 400 users, I was the sole IT engineer and set up zero-touch provisioning for Windows (Autopilot) and macOS (Apple Business Manager). In education, I standardised Windows devices across multiple locations with Intune.
Frequently asked questions
Good to know.
Can Intune manage Macs too?
Yes. Macs are linked to Intune automatically through Apple Business Manager, so they are configured and managed centrally just like Windows devices. I have done this for a mixed Windows and macOS fleet.
What is the benefit of Autopilot?
A new device can go straight to the user. At first sign-in it pulls the right settings, security and applications by itself, without anyone having to install it beforehand.
Can you review an existing Intune setup?
Yes. I go through the existing profiles, compliance settings and app deployment and point out what can be better or simpler. Remotely or on site.
Your next step
What does your
IT environment need?
For a project or a one-off assignment, tell me about the problem and what you want to achieve. We can then discuss the approach and scope.
